As you know TEAZUR is going to be headlining the Boo Benefit both Friday and Saturday nights October 7th & 8th at Auntie Skinners. If you dont already know the Boo Benefit is a fundraiser and here is a little bit of the story behind it:
The benefit began in October of 1998 after Boo (Charles `Boo` Chaler) was burned over 95% of his body in a welding accident in May 1998. Several friends of Boo knew how much he loved his motorcycle and his riding. They began the benefit in his honor while he was still hospitalized at LSU Burn Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The money that year was given to Boo and his wife Patsy, who in turn donated the proceeds to the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation. Since that year, Boo and many of the same friends continue to host the `Boo Run Benefit.

After spending much time with the LSU Burn Unit, the Chalers learned that the Percy R. Johnson Burn Foundation provided a cost free week-long camp for children and adolescent burn survivors. The foundation also funds a `respite house` near the burn unit (LSU is the Ark-La-Tex Regional Burn Unit) where families of burn survivors could be provided lodging while their loved ones are hospitalized. In addition, they assist with financial cost of medical supplies for burn survivors who may have difficulty in obtaining these necessary items.

Starting in 2008, an annual donation to the Shriners Childrens Burn Hospital in Galveston, Texas was made possible through the support of this benefit and thanks to you! For More Info go to: http://www.boobenefit.org/
